What is the default idle client timeout when this setting is left blank?

I have an issue with a customer on 8.4 whose Windows clients just quit with no message, if someone is creating/saving large records, and I'm wondering if this might help to prevent that.

Hi Paul,

We are seeing client who is exporting records and they have a a lot of stuff and it causes all clients freeze for all clients. We strongly suspect it it the single thread in HW but we posted to HW (Neil), "Issues with Exporting".

Maybe we are seeing a similar problem and this Idle Timeout sounds like it may help us as well.

We will try to keep track of this thread as well.

1.) if Idle Client Timeout field is blank,
a.) then normal idle clients (clients that are connected but not doing anything) will never be disconnected
b.) if a client is not connected (connection was lost), then the server will disconnect them after 10 mins (default). The 10 mins can only be changed by enabler file EnabTIME, where syntax is specified in minutes.

2.) if you fill in Idle Client Timeout field, then it will apply to normal idle clients (clients that are connected but not doing anything)
